Our Story
LizRae Interiors was founded by Charlene and Julie, two seasoned professionals who bring together decades of experience in design, leadership, and project execution.
Charlene “Liz” Erickson, international award winning interior designer, began her career designing high-end spas and resorts across the globe, where she mastered the art of creating spaces that balance beauty, function, and a sense of escape. A decade ago, she shifted her focus to residential design, bringing that same level of sophistication and care to the homes she creates.
Julie “Rae” Schulman spent three decades running in-house design teams within the broadcast industry, where she learned how to manage complex projects, align vision with execution, and deliver results on time and with excellence. In addition, her work as an executive coach has given her a unique perspective on helping people uncover their goals and priorities — skills she brings into the design process to help clients clarify the story they want their home to tell.
Together, Charlene and Julie blend artistry with strategy, vision with structure. At LizRae Interiors, every project begins with listening — and ends with a home that reflects not just impeccable design, but your life, your story, and your dreams.

What Is the Investment for a Design Meeting with Charlene?
The fee for a two-hour on-site design meeting with Charlene is $800 for clients within our local service areas. For projects outside these areas, a small additional travel fee applies.
For destination projects, we also offer a Design Intensive package — a comprehensive on-site experience tailored to out-of-town clients. We’re happy to discuss which option best fits your location and project needs.
